😲🐙 Did you know there are blue-ringed octopuses on the Sunshine Coast? This one was spotted in the rock pools at Kings Beach, Caloundra. Marine biologist Kathy Townsend says the tiny creatures are masters of camouflage, but they have an incredibly toxic bite. Her advice? @olivias_reef spotted this Giant Pacific Octopus crawling along the deep wall at Madrona Point during a recent dive trip. She watched it for 5 minutes before it switched into hunt mode, forming a tent-like structure over cracks and boulders to trap shrimp, crabs, and small fish beneath its arms.
