Today's high tide in the Harkers Island Visitor Center parking lot and boat basin. The tide has been pushed by the wind into the road and it covers the boat ramp from the boat basin to the road. The parking lot has become a haven for the sea gulls as it covers almost the entire parking lot. Most of the sea gulls are the larger Herring gulls, but all are enjoying their new shallow "pool".
